Sesame Tofu

Sesame Tofu

Ingredients:
half onion
1 chili
1 clove of garlic
a pinch of ginger
a pinch of mustard seeds
3 pitted dates
2 tomatoes
1 block of super firm tofu
a handful of sesame seeds
about a cup of plain yogurt
handful of peas
juice of half a lemon

Procedure:
Switch on the stove and heat a pan. Fry onions until translucent. Puree the tomatoes and chili in a blender. Pour into the pan and cook for a minute. Cube the tofu and add into the pan. Pour the lemon juice. Cook for a few minutes. Grind the sesame seeds, ginger, garlic, and mustard seeds till they are ground to small granules and put it in the pan. Mix it well. Cook for a while Puree the yogurt and the dates. Add the yogurt mixture near the end just before switching off the flame. Mix thoroughly. After it has cooled add some lime or lemon juice before eating.
